Objective

The port significantly boosts economic cooperation between Egypt and Sudan, both commercially and investment-wise, and extends this impact to the broader African continent. It facilitates the entry of Egyptian investments into Sudan and supports increased trade between the two countries, simplifying the movement of Egyptian products.

Description

The Arqeen Port serves as the key starting point for the Alexandria/Cape Town axis, linking the largest African bloc from the Mediterranean Sea to the Pacific Ocean. It facilitates trade with 15 African countries along this land route. The estimated land size is 255 feddans. It will link to the nearby Toshka agricultural zone and planned logistics zone.
