Documentary Films

As part of our research we have collaborated with three film makers Spyros Gerousis in Greece, Zainab Farid in Pakistan and Joel Ongwec in Uganda. The film makers documentaries critically engaged with the fieldwork activities and dialogues of the project to develop critical examinations of urban life amid the logistical railway lines that cross these urban terrains and the everyday geographies of urban life.

Sheffield Urbanism Lecture Series: Global Corridor

The Sheffield Urbanism Lecture series is an initiative of the Urban Institute to stimulate dialogue, discussion and understanding of processes of urbanization and urban life. It is intended as a space to reimagine both the conceptualizations and narratives of urban studies. The 2024 lecture series was delivered by Jonathan Silver and titled "Global Corridor: Techno-Territorial Constellations on a Transforming Planet"
