History

The project underwent several major revisions before implementation. Initially proposed as a 210 MW power plant in 2002, it was revived in 2010 and subsequently expanded to 330 MW after an international tender in 2015. China Eximbank signed the buyer's credit agreement in December 2018, and the project was completed in September 2023 after delays from its original schedule.
