Objective
The primary objective of the terminal is to modernise Egypt's maritime infrastructure and transform Upper Egypt into a global logistics hub. By providing an efficient trade gateway, the project aims to optimize supply chains and significantly reduce transit times for regional industries. Strategically, it seeks to boost economic growth by attracting international shipping lines and increasing foreign direct investment. Furthermore, the terminal aims to enhance cargo handling capacity up to 5 million tonnes of dry bulk and 450,000 TEUs. This sustainable development supports Egypt's long-term vision of becoming a leading, competitive maritime hub. Description
