Construction of a 169 km broad-gauge railway connecting Dhaka with Jessore via the Padma Bridge, including stations, bridges, signalling and telecommunications. The project provides the first direct rail connection between the capital and southwestern Bangladesh and forms part of the Trans-Asian Railway network.
