Scheduled for completion by 2028, the multi-purpose terminal is being developed to alleviate severe congestion at traditional Lagos ports like Apap. A 910-meter quay designed to handle deep-sea vessels and barges, equipped with Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes and Mobile Harbor Cranes (MHC). An initial dredging depth of -16.5m Chart Datum (CD), with structural capability to be deepened to -18m CD in future phases to accommodate much larger global container vessels.
