Objective

Investments include 7th Axial Road: A massive 25 km, dual-three-lane carriageway with rigid concrete pavement is under construction. Flagged off to build a logistics triangle, it will link the Lekki Port and the Lekki Free Trade Zone directly to Epe and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. Phase 2 Capacity Scaling: Expansions are focused on growing the port's liquid and dry bulk capacities, as well as significantly boosting transshipment capabilities across West Africa. Access Road Commissioning: The primary 27 km concrete access road connecting the port to the Lekki-Epe expressway has been officially commissioned, drastically reducing cargo turnaround times for mega-facilities like the Dangote Refinery

Description

The Lekki Port expansion aims to increase its capacity to 6 million TEUs and handle 14,500+ container vessels. To support this massive growth and prevent congestion, major logistics infrastructure is actively being developed, including the $1.5 billion investment in the port's wider ecosystem
