Description

Construction of a 3,300 MW (5×660 MW) supercritical coal-fired thermal power plant at Tiroda in Maharashtra. The project supplies electricity to Maharashtra under long-term power purchase agreements and received syndicated financing from Chinese and international banks for its final construction phase.

History

Chinese supplier SCMEC was unable to undertake on-site works because of Indian visa restrictions and instead supervised subcontractors during erection and commissioning.
