The Massawa Corridor is a critical maritime and land transport route linking the Eritrean port of Massawa on the Red Sea with the Ethiopian border. As part of regional infrastructure development, this corridor serves as a key alternative for Ethiopia’s access to the sea, alongside initiatives like the Djibouti corridor. It connects the Red Sea to Ethiopia's northern regions and is integral to East African logistics. However, the Massawa Corridor is currently not operational for Ethiopia.
