Southern Section (Stage 1): Connects the Astrakhan direction of the R-22 "Caspian" federal highway with the Elista direction and the regional road to Kotelnikovo. This portion includes a new major bridge across the Volga-Don Canal.Western Section (Stage 2): Diverts traffic around the western flank, beginning near the Moscow highway and ending at the A-260 highway (Volgograd – Kamensk-Shakhtinsky).Northern Section (Stage 3): A proposed 33-kilometer segment designed to connect to the northern exits, ensuring full loop transit capabilities

Description

The Volgograd Bypass Project is a 71.4-kilometer highway aiming to redirect an estimated 15,000+ cargo vehicles per day, bypassing the city of Volgograd. The multi-stage route circles the western and southern outskirts, connecting major federal roads to reduce urban traffic congestion
